Eagles deep enough to overcome loss
While the Eagles deserve praise for their handling of Corey Simon, the Broncos should be criticized for the Maurice Clarett experiment.

On a weekend when teams began trimming their rosters to the mandated 65-player limit, two of the biggest transactions occurred in Denver and Philadelphia. The Broncos decided to part ways with RB Maurice Clarett and the Eagles rescinded the franchise tag on DT Corey Simon, making him an unrestricted free agent. Both moves were big enough to raise eyebrows, but one team is likely to draw much less criticism than the other. Here's why:
