On a weekend when teams began trimming their rosters to the mandated 65-player limit, two of the biggest transactions occurred in Denver and Philadelphia. The Broncos decided to part ways with RB Maurice Clarett and the Eagles rescinded the franchise tag on DT Corey Simon, making him an unrestricted free agent.
