Special teams can play a pivotal role in tight playoff games, something that bodes well for the Cowboys. Dallas sits atop Scouts Inc.'s updated rankings of playoff special teams units, while the defending champions from Indianapolis are brining up the rear.

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the best kicking tandems in the NFL with P Mat McBriar and PK Nick Folk. McBriar's high, long punts enable the Dallas punt coverage unit to get downfield and make the tackle while Folk is having a dream rookie season in the NFL with solid field goal accuracy and exceptional distance on his kickoffs.
