Mistakes caught up with Colts

After watching Super Bowl XLIV, Scouts Inc. shares eight observations about the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts:

1. The Colts made more mistakes: This surprised me. Of course, Peyton Manning's late interception takes the cake in this category, but he wasn't alone. Receiver Pierre Garcon's first-half drop was a huge turning point in this game.

There were certainly other examples. The time of possession was virtually even and the Colts gained 100 more yards, but Indianapolis was outplayed and outcoached. When it came to the crucial decisions, New Orleans coach Sean Payton went aggressive, while the Colts' Jim Caldwell went conservative. The players see that and it rubs off.
