| News: Williams (knee) rushed for 122 yards on 13 carries and picked up a two-point conversion in Thursday's loss to Miami. Spin: The Panthers only handed the ball off 25 times, but Williams essentially shared the carries with Jonathan Stewart (12 carries, 43 yards). With extra rest, both backs should be able to rest their nagging injuries, perhaps returning the Carolina backfield to its regular 60-40 workload split favoring Williams in Week 12. |

Tigers' Curtis Steele churning out yardsMemphis Commercial Appeal (6 hours ago) Curtis Steele is one of only two Tiger running backs to manage multiple 1,000-plus yard seasons. Lack of rushes an issue for Panthers' FoxRock Hill Herald (3 days ago) In a perfect world, the Carolina Panthers obviously would prefer to run more. Panthers coach John Fox said Friday he was far more concerned about the team's continued red-zone problems than the lack of a consistent running attack. |
