Pro Football Weekly is hearing whispers about Troy Vincent's play at safety and RB Chris Perry getting more playing time for the Bengals.

• Bills observers believe that Troy Vincent is a perfect fit for free safety, thanks to his great speed, intelligence and toughness, and he agrees. He loves the FS spot and told the Buffalo media that he believes he can be the best free safety in the league in short order.

• Look for Bengals RB Chris Perry to get a lot of work on third downs in the weeks to come. Perry's pass-catching ability and quickness are apparent, and the team is even able to split him out wide.

• Redskins assistant head coach/defense Gregg Williams told PFW he thinks FS Sean Taylor is "the best athlete I've ever had a chance to coach. Maybe it looks like he's playing faster now because he has a year under his belt. If you go back and look at it, the great players in this league make a significant jump in their second year. He's going to be a great player."
