It was a busy offseason in the NFC West, with all four teams undergoing big changes. Our scouts identify the players who could help shape the division in 2005.
Bertrand Berry, DE, Cardinals
The 2005 Cardinals should be excited about the future of their cornerback position, but they are gambling on two rookies (Antrel Rolle and Eric Green) and an undersized newcomer in David Macklin, who should be nothing more than a sub-package slot cover corner.
The team finished with a middle-of-the-road 38 sacks last season, and it must get more consistent pass-rush pressure from its front four in order to ease the burden on a suspect secondary.
That's where Berry, entering his second season in Arizona, comes in.
