The Ravens' deep attack
Why Baltimore is relying on the deep ball too much this year

The good news for the Ravens' offense in Week 13 was that Anquan Boldin and Donte' Stallworth caught 61- and 67-yard bombs. The bad news was that their offense didn't do much else: Those two plays accounted for 48 percent of the Ravens' net yardage in their loss to the Steelers.
The worst news is that this has been going on all season. When QB Joe Flacco is uncorking bombs to Boldin and others, the Ravens' offense looks great. But everything else -- the running game, the short passing game -- is scuffling. A one-dimensional offense won't get them far in the postseason, if they make it at all.
