The recent signings of Terrell Owens by the Cincinnati Bengals, Keith Bulluck by the New York Giants and Flozell Adams by the Pittsburgh Steelers have taken some of the last remaining big names off the free-agent market. With camps now open across the league, teams are cautiously optimistic that they have the necessary talent to achieve their goals. Nonetheless, a bevy of veterans are still hoping to catch on with a team and recapture their glory. Here is a look at a handful of remaining free agents who could contribute:

Brian Westbrook, RB

Westbrook

Westbrook struggled with concussions last season and was no longer dominant when he was on the field. He'll turn 31 years old before the season starts, an old age for any running back, much less an undersized one who has battled injuries throughout his career. Still, he remained effective last season, averaging 4.5 yards per carry in limited duty. Perhaps more importantly, he is a complete back who could excel on third downs as a blocker and receiver out of the backfield.
