The NFC West had three underachieving teams (Arizona, San Francisco and St. Louis) while Seattle separated itself from the pack. So what's next for the NFC West? Scouts Inc. runs down five glaring needs per team -- because it's never too early to worry about next season.

Arizona Cardinals

Cornerback: Arizona struggled against the pass in 2007 and really has lacked a shutdown corner for the past few years. The Cardinals were led by their two starting corners, Antrel Rolle and Roderick Hood with five interceptions each, but Rolle struggles in off coverage and probably fits the safety position better. Hood is an adequate starting corner, but since the Cardinals play in the pass-happy NFC West they need a shutdown corner who can match up against the top receivers they often face.
