The AFC East had the best team in the 2007 regular season (Patriots) and the worst (Dolphins), but what does each AFC East team need to improve on for 2008? Scouts Inc. runs down five glaring needs per team -- because it's never too early to worry about next year.

Buffalo Bills

Defensive tackle: Buffalo's defense ranked next to last in the league, and the middle of the line must be addressed. The Bills struggled to pressure the passer, and coach Dick Jauron would like to insert an impact interior lineman. There are some solid defenders in the trenches for Buffalo but no powerful players who draw double-teams, and acquiring a player who can hold the point against the run while also collapsing the pocket in the passing game will go a long way to improving this inconsistent defense.
