NFC West tilt on MNF
Michele Tafoya takes a look at the San Francisco 49ers-Seattle Seahawks matchup on MNF and takes a look around the league.

The season isn't over for the Seattle Seahawks (4-4), but it has been dismal.
One of the biggest disappointments on this team has been Shaun Alexander. The former Pro Bowl running back has 139 yards in his last four games and is gaining only 3.3 yards per carry.
Against San Francisco (2-6) on "Monday Night Football" (ESPN, 8:30 ET), backup RB Maurice Morris may get more opportunities to spark the Seahawks' running game. Because right now, the Seahawks can't rely just on the passing game, even though quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has performed up to his usual standards and Deion Branch returns from injury this week.
