Close ties in Jets-Dolphins game
Michele Tafoya takes a look at the "Monday Night Football" matchup between the Jets and Dolphins.

Before the 2006 NFL season began, it looked like this would be a matchup featuring two "comeback" quarterbacks in Chad Pennington and Daunte Culpepper, and two upstart coaches in Eric Mangini and Nick Saban.
Unfortunately, Culpepper's comeback was short-lived. And despite the efforts of Joey Harrington and a good defense highlighted by Jason Taylor, the Dolphins have been eliminated from the playoff picture.
But Mangini's Jets are still alive, and although they won't be able clinch a playoff spot on Christmas Day, a win would put them in position to grab a possible playoff spot in their regular season finale at home against the Oakland Raiders (2-12). The Jets won their first meeting against Miami on Oct. 14 at the Meadowlands, 20-17.
