Loss of Colvin will test Pats' LB depth

The loss of LB Rosevelt Colvin to a season-ending injury won't necessarily test the maturity and smarts of the remaining Patriots linebackers, but it will test their mettle and stamina.

When the New England Patriots were forced to place starting outside linebacker Rosevelt Colvin on injured reserve Tuesday because of a foot injury sustained in Sunday night's victory over Philadelphia, the move hardly sent shock waves rippling through the league.
