With less than three weeks until training camps open, there are more players still looking for work than there are jobs.

And as is typically the case now, the logjam of available players is most pronounced at safety, where a number of longtime veterans still hope for a fortuitous phone call that might provide them one more season's worth of paychecks and the possibility of a Super Bowl ring.

A partial list of unemployed veteran safeties includes: Matt Bowen (last team: Buffalo), Donovin Darius (Jacksonville), Derrick Gibson (Oakland), Robert Griffith (Arizona), Tebucky Jones Terrence Kiel (San Diego), Sammy Knight (Kansas City), Mike Logan (Pittsburgh), Tony Parrish (Dallas), Lance Schulters (Atlanta), Troy Vincent (Washington) and Shaun Williams (Carolina).
