NFL continues to make progress on minority hiring

In league circles, it is often referred to as "the pipeline," the imaginary on-ramp which links NFL assistants with loftier aspirations to the potential fast-lane existence as a head coach.

Use it in a sentence, you say? No problem. Here's one we've heard parroted at league meetings for the past several years: We've got to get more minority candidates into the pipeline.
