Falcons owner Arthur Blank gave the entire organization an ultimatum during the 2006 season. Blank stated it was not good enough to finish the season out of the playoffs or with a record worse than 8-8. They did, and as a result there were changes at the top, starting with the firing of head coach Jim Mora. The Falcons are an extremely talented team that continues to find ways to collapse during the season. Offensively, the Falcons finished the season ranked first in the NFL in rushing, led by QB Michael Vick and RB Warrick Dunn. However, this team remains one-dimensional, with one of the worst passing attacks in the NFL. Defensively, the Falcons showed improvement against the run, but they continue to struggle on the back end in coverage.
