Reasons to worry about the Ravens

On the face of it, things are looking pretty good for the Baltimore Ravens right now. They made huge personnel improvements this offseason to an already playoff-caliber roster, and it was a main reason that many prognosticators picked them as the favorite to win the Super Bowl.

They then started off the season on the right note by humbling the New York Jets in a much-anticipated Monday night matchup. That victory seems to have convinced most of the football world that the championship prediction for this club is still right on track.

As impressive as the Baltimore roster is in many ways, when taking a closer look at this team through the metrics prism, it becomes clear there are a whole lot more question marks here than is generally acknowledged. There are three issues that stand out above the others.
