Jones has few issues on the field
KC Joyner says Norv Turner's replacement in San Francisco will have big shoes to fill, and Pacman Jones would have plenty of suitors.
Turner's reputation as an excellent offensive coordinator was cemented when coaching the triplets in Dallas, but he might have done the best coaching job of his career in helping 49ers quarterback Alex Smith improve last season.
Smith was coming off a horrible rookie season in which he threw one touchdown compared to 11 interceptions, and had a passer rating of 40.8. Turner's coaching was instrumental to improving Smith's passer rating to 74.8, but that rating only tells part of the story.
