Zac Dysert's NFL prospects
After coping with multiple changes, he needs a chance to develop
Gruden's QB Camp: Zac Dysert
For the Jon Gruden QB Camp series, we wanted Insiders to see a little more. So we dispatched ESPN.com NFC South blogger Pat Yasinskas to Tampa, Fla., to sit in with the coach and squeeze out a little more insight. This is the result.
Zac Dysert may be the toughest quarterback prospect in this draft class to evaluate. But the reason why gave me good insight into where he might succeed. Sound confusing?
Well, let me explain.
Before I knew a lot about Dysert, it wasn't that hard to get me interested in him as a prospect. What caught me and had me pulling up the tape is when I heard about a big guy who broke all of Ben Roethlisberger's records at Miami (Ohio). Now, offenses change, seasons get longer, and records get broken. But the MAC has produced some QBs, and if I hear a guy broke all of Big Ben's records, even if he's throwing it underhanded I want to take a look. Because those are some pretty big accomplishments.
But this is where I ran into problems.
