Cameron Newton is a good runner, but how does he project as an NFL-level passer?
It was just another day at the office this year for Auburn QB Cameron Newton as he led the Tigers to a 65-43 victory over Arkansas. The 6-foot-6, 250-pound, fourth-year junior accounted for a mere 328 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns. The attention-getter was the 188 rushing yards on 25 carries. It marked the third straight SEC contest in which Newton has rushed for more than 175 yards. What drew a lot less fanfare -- but was more important to NFL scouts -- was the passing ability Newton displayed.
