Every week when we get the latest version of the Big Board, there are always questions. This week, as a prelude to the Big Board, Mel took on some issues that often are raised regarding his methodology. At this point, it's a science built on a lot of tape, but also a lot of assumptions.

This week we picked out some topics for a little grill session with Mel. Read on while we turn on the bright light of the interrogation room. Or at least call the man.

This week you added Tony Pike to the Board at No. 23 overall. Sure, he's had a great year, but when we look at him he sort of reminds us of Brian Brohm. Good QB, but a system guy.

Kiper: Start with the fact that Pike has a much stronger arm. He's also bigger -- some have him listed as tall as 6-6, but I have him down at 6-5 on some listings -- and he's also more mobile. I also really like his velocity. Just in the those areas he's already a different kind of quarterback. His completion percentage is in the stratosphere.
