Injuries to eligible NFL draft prospects are racking up at an alarming rate. The most high profile of all is Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford's shoulder sprain suffered during the season-opening loss to BYU.

Bradford returned to practice this week, but he reportedly will not play at Miami on Saturday night. Nobody wants to see him rush back before he's ready, but every game missed is an opportunity lost for Bradford, who still has plenty to prove to NFL scouts.

In fact, Florida DE Carlos Dunlap has leaped him as the No. 1 prospect in our latest top 32. The Gators' pass-rusher, who is coming into his own as a complete player, has that rare combination of size and athleticism. Not only is he a threat off the edge as a pass rusher, but at 6-foot-6, 290 pounds he is also tough to run against.

Also making news out of Norman, Okla., this week is TE Jermaine Gresham's decision to enter the 2010 NFL draft rather than applying to the NCAA for a medical hardship. Gresham suffered a knee injury during summer camp and has already undergone successful surgery. Although he might have lost some money by electing to return to school for the 2009 season, Gresham still projects as a mid-to-late first-round pick in a weak 2010 class of tight ends.
