HOUSTON -- Here's a look at the players on both rosters who had good showings and struggled on Day 4 of Shrine Game practice week:
Around the East team
• Michigan State QB Brian Hoyer continues to have a strong week. Hoyer got set quickly, delivered the ball in rhythm and showed above-average accuracy. Hoyer's most impressivethrow came during the team period when he lofted the ball over the outstretched arm of South Carolina MLB Jasper Brinkley and hit Northeastern TE Brian Mandeville down the seam. However, Brinkley got his revenge when Hoyer tried to make the same throw during the two-minute drill. This time Hoyer made one of his few mistakes and got rid of the ball a split-second too late, which gave Brinkley just enough time to get into position and come down with the interception.To continue reading this article you must be an Insider
