East wide receivers and West cornerbacks stand out on Day 1

As players try to impress the NFL scouts at the East-West Shrine Game, Scouts Inc. offers the latest buzz from all the practices.

HOUSTON -- Monday was the first full day of football-related activities for the players participating in the 83rd Annual East-West Shrine Game. It began with the player weigh-ins, which were open only to NFL personnel, followed by practice sessions for both teams at the outdoor facility adjacent to Reliant Stadium. Both teams practiced for the first time in only helmets, jerseys and shorts and each session lasted approximately an hour-and-a-half.
