With the combine approaching, and the draft season beginning to heat up, it's time to taken another stab at projecting the first round. My third mock draft contains quite a few changes from the previous edition, including a tumble for Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn. Meanwhile, Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson keeps moving up the board, as underclassmen continue to shake up the draft.
Projected pick: +JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn, Georgia Tech WR Calvin Johnson and Wisconsin OT Joe Thomas are also possibilities, but Raiders owner Al Davis could fall in love with Russell's size and arm.
Projected pick: Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin
It might not be the sexy pick, but sexy picks haven't gotten GM Matt Millen and the Lions very far. Offensive tackle is the team's most glaring weakness, and Thomas is the only elite offensive lineman in this year's draft.
