The Jacksonville Jaguars defense currently ranks 23rd in rushing yards allowed per game with just under 121 yards per game. Their yards per carry ranking is a bit better, but it is still 18th at 4.0 yards. These are high numbers, especially considering the Jaguars have one of the best defensive tackle pairings in the league in Marcus Stroud and John Henderson.
How is it that a team with two run pluggers in Stroud and Henderson can rank so badly in these categories? Part of the problem is that the Jags have faced six strong running teams. Still, this defense's strong point is supposed to be its run support.
Despite the inside presence of DTs Marcus Stroud and John Henderson, the Jags have struggled against the run.
