The Philadelphia Eagles have allowed 64 points in their past two games. That is the second-highest point total allowed in consecutive games by an Andy Reid-coached Eagles team and the most since 1999. I already detailed in an article last week how the Chiefs pushed around the Eagles, but that wasn't entirely surprising given the offensive firepower the Chiefs are capable of when they are clicking.
What was more surprising was the Dallas Cowboys putting up 33 points. The point total itself was unexpected, but what makes it noteworthy is that the Cowboys could have scored more points if they didn't call off the dogs after building a 27-3 halftime lead. It was this performance that I thought deserved a better explanation, so I did a metric analysis of that game. The results of this analysis indicate these problems could be more than just a two-week anomaly.
