Injuries struck hard in the AFC East during Week 3, except for the second-place Dolphins. Let's look at how these teams will replace some major cogs and what we can expect from these players.
Chad Pennington and Jay Fiedler, NY Jets
With Pennington possibly gone for the year and Fiedler likely to miss significant time, this is a QB position in shambles -- not only for 2005, but also for the foreseeable future. If Pennington's injury is career-ending, there are huge salary-cap ramifications and problems with his multi-year contract as the Jets try to rebuild the quarterback position. It's simply going to be tough to do.
Of all the injuries in the AFC East in Week 3, S Rodney Harrison's might be the toughest for a team to overcome.
