Robinson waived, re-signed: Vikings receiver Koren Robinson was waived Tuesday but that was a technical matter. He was re-signed within five minutes. A week ago, Robinson, who was pursued by the Packers, agreed to a one-year contract instead of the two-year, $1.5 million deal he signed before the start of the regular season. When the team released him prior to opening day in order to get him back without a guaranteed contract, Robinson had enough leverage to get a one-year deal. The NFL Management Council needed to make clear that he was under the one-year deal, so Robinson had to be released and signed to a new one-year, $540,000 deal. He may make his Vikings debut this weekend.
Seahawks get special-teams help: The Seahawks tried to help their special teams with the addition of cornerback Jimmy Williams. The loss of wide receiver Alex Bannister for the season put the team in need of a top special-teams player. Bannister went to the Pro Bowl a couple of years ago but he has broken his clavicle three times. Williams can help the Seahawks on special teams.
