Lack of early picks limits Saints' options

The eight-game suspension handed to New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis as a result of the Saints' bounty program won't start until the preseason, so it shouldn't have a big impact on their draft plans. The loss of their second-round pick as part of the bounty punishment is another story.

New Orleans is also without a first-round pick after trading it to New England to move up and select RB Mark Ingram in the first round in 2011, so with just one pick in the first two days the Saints might have to take some chances in terms of durability and character to strengthen their roster through the draft.
