Highly-recruited Calvin Barnett, a 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman from Booker T. Washington (Tulsa, Okla.), has signed a Class of 2010 scholarship offer from Arkansas.

He had been a pledge to Oklahoma State.

ESPNU 150 offensive tackle Damien Robinson of Olive Branch, Miss., has signed with the Bulldogs over Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi.

The 6-foot-7, 320-pound Robinson's other offers were Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, North Carolina, Southern Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama-Birmingham.

Three-star kicker William Russ drops Razorbacks for Longhorns

William Russ (Shreveport, La./Evangel Christian) has decommitted from Arkansas in favor of Texas according to Evangel Christian coach John Bachman, ESPN's Gerry Hamilton reports.

The punter / kickoff specialist made an official visit to Austin, Texas this weekend.

Several other programs including Miami-FL, Vanderbilt, Tulane and Louisiana-Monroe also extended scholarship offers.

Russ was a two-time Class 2A All-State selection.

Arkansas snares three-star kicking prospect Zach Hocker

From Russellville, Ark., Zach Hocker has pledged to the Razorbacks for the Class of 2010.

He decommitted from Arkansas State. Hawaii and Memphis also offered.

As a senior, Hocker was 15 of 23 on field goals (52 long), averaged 45-yards per punt and had 58 touchbacks on 61 kickoffs.

JUCO defensive back Dave Clark gives pledge to the Volunteers

Dave Clark, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back from Independence CC, Kan., has picked Tennessee for the Class of 2010.

Originally from Capitol (Baton Rouge, La.), he signed during the early period with Kansas, but gained his release from the new coaching staff. He was also sought by Louisiana Tech and Arkansas.

Clark suffered a torn ACL before the 2009 season and had to sit out. He expects to be full strength before this upcoming Fall.

Slidell three-star wide receiver Armand Williams drops Hogs for LSU

Three-star receiver Armand Williams of Slidell, La., has pledged to the LSU Tigers for the Class of 2010 after decommitting from Arkansas.

Among his 30 other offers were Northern Illinois, Arkansas State, Houston, Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, Miami-Ohio, Minnesota, Mississippi State, New Mexico, Tulane, SMU, Southern Mississippi and Syracuse, among others.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Williams caught 32 passes for 638 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior, and had 48 receptions for 628 yards and eight scores during his senior season.

From Rutherford (Panama City, Fla.), lineman Sean Watson has pledged to Florida Atlantic's recruiting Class of 2010.

A 6-foot-3, 270-pound defensive tackle, he was also sought by Arkansas, Baylor, East Carolina, Florida International and Toledo.

Hoover receiver Maudrecus Humphrey pledges to Razorbacks

Arkansas has gained a three-star receiver from Hoover HS (Hoover, Ala.) in Maudrecus Humphrey.

Humphrey (6-foot-2, 185-pounds) committed to the Razorbacks over Kentucky and Mississippi State. Among others, he was also offered by Mississippi, Louisville, Southern Mississippi, Troy and UAB.

He told the Birmingham News, When I went up to Arkansas on my official visit I felt really comfortable with the players and coaches. I got a good vibe. I could see myself playing there. Plus, they have one of the top business schools in the country."

His dad, Bobby Humphrey, was a standout running back at Alabama and in the NFL.

Humphrey is also a sprinter in track and plans to double in that sport at Arkansas.

Three-star wide receiver James Wright picks Louisiana State

James Wright, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver from Belle Chasse, La., has committed to head coach Les Miles and the LSU Tigers for the Class of 2010.

Texas Tech, Arkansas, Alabama, Nebraska, Tennessee and Stanford in the mix for Wright. The three-star prospect also had offers from Colorado, Minnesota, Northwestern, Central Florida, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Tulsa and Utah.

"I committed to LSU (Sunday) morning,'' Wright told nola.com. "I liked the academics, the football and I feel like I have a good relationship with the coaches. All of the players I talked to liked the school. Overall, it seemed like the best place for me.''

As a senior, Wright had 39 receptions for 732 yards and 10 touchdowns.
