Da'Rick Rogers of Calhoun, Ga., rated an ESPNU 150 prospect, has signed with the Vols for the Class of 2010.

He decommitted from the Georgia Bulldogs.

Rogers, the No. 1 overall recruit in the state of Georgia, will join Calhoun quarterback Nash Nance who also signed a letter of intent with Tennessee.

Four-star cornerback/receiver Nickell Robey of Frostproof, Fla., has pledged to Southern California for the Class of 2010 after decommitting from the Bulldogs.

Tthe 5-foot-8, 160-pound prospect also considered West Virginia in making his final decision.

Robey was also offered by South Florida, Florida, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio State, Stanford, Clemson, Virginia Tech and Western Kentucky, among many others.

Four-star Adrian Coxson of City College High (Baltimore, Md.) plans to announce on Signing Day between the Gators and Bulldogs.

He recently decommitted from Penn State.

Several other programs including Boston College, Maryland, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Syracuse and Pittsburgh also offered the 6-foot-1, 195-pound senior.

Coxson rushed for over 1000 yards and scored 14 touchdowns during the 2009 season while playing as a wildcat quarterback.

Four-star linebacker Telvin Smith of Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.), who committed to Florida State last summer and then wavered, has made a final decision for the Seminoles.

Smith made official visits to Florida State and Georgia, and followed with an unofficial visit to the Bulldogs.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound prospect was also offered by LSU, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Mississippi, Purdue, South Carolina and Central Florida, among many others.

Offensive lineman Kenarious Gates of Greenville, Ga., has decommitted from Kentucky to sign as part of Georgia's Class of 2010.

Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Troy and North Carolina State also offered the 6-foot-5, 300-pound prospect.

Auburn wins the battle for top defensive lineman Jeffrey Whitaker

Four-star defensive tackle Jeffrey Whitaker of Warner Robins, Ga.) has committed to Auburn for the Class of 2010 over Georgia and Miami-Florida

California and North Carolina were recently eliminated. Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Clemson and Oregon also extended early scholarship offers.

"It just felt comfortable," Whitaker told ESPN affiliate Web site AuburnUndercover.com. "There was like no question. I couldn't turn away from it. It just felt like home."

Copiah-Lincoln standout defensive back Dequan Menzie to Tide

Alabama has landed touted 5-foot-11, 195-pound defensive back, Dequan Menzie of Copiah-Lincoln CC, Miss., for the Class of 2010.

Originally from Carver (Columbus, Ga.), Menzie was also sought by Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, North Carolina and Mississippi State, among many others.

"I'm excited, man. It was everything about Alabama, as soon as I stepped on campus," Menzie told the Mobile Press-Register. "If my mom is happy, I'm happy."

In-state Corey Moore is the second junior commitment for Georgia

Safety Corey Moore of Griffin, Ga., has given the Georgia Bulldogs a Class of 2011 commitment on Junior Day in Athens.

The prospect also claims early offers from Florida, Auburn, North Carolina State and Alabama.

"I've always been a Dawg fan growing up, and I love Georgia," Moore told the Savannah Morning News. "This is the perfect place for me to play football and get my education. Georgia coaches like the way I come downhill and that I stop people in their tracks when I hit them."

Moore becomes the second 2011 commitment for Georgia, joining athlete Chris Sanders of Tucker, Ga., who also committed on Saturday.
