Mississippi State is the second school to jump in and offer a scholarship to linebacker Edward Muldrow (Snellville, Ga./South Gwinnett), ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.

The Bulldogs join South Carolina in offering the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder. Georgia Tech also has shown interest.

He posted an electronically-timed 4.93 40-yard dash, 4.12 20-yard shuttle, 36.8-inch vertical and 99.33 SPARQ prior to his junior season at the Atlanta Nike Combine.

Louis Young drops the Cardinal for the Yellow Jackets

Three-star cornerback Louis Young (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) has decommitted from Stanford, sources close to his situation have informed ESPN affiliate Web site InsideMDSports.com.

Young, who originally picked Stanford October of his junior year, has gone back and forth with the commitment several times.

Maryland, Virginia, Boston College, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Penn State, Iowa, Kansas State, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, Rutgers, Illinois, N.C. State, Wisconsin, UConn and Syracuse among others also offered.

Albany scatback Tony Zenon makes decision for Georgia Tech

The Yellow Jackets have gained offensive-threat Tony Zenon of Deerfield-Windsor (Albany, Ga.) for the Class of 2010.

The 5-foot-7, 160-pound Zenon also holds offers from Alabama-Birmingham, Marshall and Central Michigan.

He rushed for 2,300 yards and 27 touchdowns as a senior.

Zenon registered an electronically-timed 4.56 40-yard dash, 4.43 20-yard shuttle and 30.4-inch vertical at the Atlanta Nike Combine.

Yellow Jackets win recruiting war for pass rusher Jeremiah Attaochu

Three-star 6-foot-3, 225-pound outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu of Archbishop Carroll (Washington, D.C.) has committed to Georgia Tech for the Class of 2010.

He chose the Yellow Jackets over Maryland, Illinois, Kansas State, Louisville, Virginia and Syracuse.

"I got to know him while Coach Groh he was at Virginia," Attaochu told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "He's known for his defense and coaching outside linebackers all over the league. I was a defensive end in high school but he felt like I was the right guy to be an outside linebacker. He has three things in his criteria for an outside linebacker: It's being able to beat a tight end, being able to rush the passer and being functional in space. That's how he puts it."

Several other programs including Minnesota, Ohio, Boston College, Temple, East Carolina, Akron and Kent State have also offered.

Georgia Tech has added a commitment from Deon Hill, a 6-foot-0, 195-pound running back from Central (Phenix City, Ala.), for the recruiting Class of 2010.

Tulane and Utah State also offered.

He rushed for 1,587 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior.

Sunshine State kicker Cairo Santos picks Tulane

Kicker / punter Cairo Santos (St. Augustine, Fla./St. Joseph) has committed to the Green Wave, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.

Cairo was also recruited by Georgia Tech, Western Kentucky and Miami-OH.

He made 19 of 23 field goal attempts during his junior and senior seasons, with a long of 57 yards.

Kicking specialist Justin Moore drops RedHawks for Georgia Tech

Justin Moore, a 5-foot-10, 160-pound kicking prospect from Marist School (Atlanta, Ga.), has pledged to the Yellow Jackets after decommitting from Miami-Ohio.

"Yeah, I'm a Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket," Moore told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "It all happened pretty fast."

He made three of five field goals, kicked 48 touchbacks and averaged 42 yards per punt as a senior.

Georgia Tech now has 14 commitments.

Robert Smith joins Clemson's impressive Class of 2011

In-state athlete Robert Smith (Dorchester, S.C./Woodland) has committed to sign as part of Clemson's Class of 2011, ESPN affiliate Web site TheClemsonInsider.com reports.

He has drawn interest from Georgia, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, UCLA and Vanderbilt.

As a junior, playing quarterback, Smith passed for 2412 yards and 25 touchdowns. He added 1036 yards and 12 scores on the ground.

The 5-foot-10, 184-pound junior posted an electronically-timed 4.86 40-yard dash, 4.53 20-yard shuttle, 32.7-inch vertical, 37-foot power throw and 80.16 SPARQ at the Nike Atlanta Combine prior to his junior year.

Smith is the 7th pledge for Clemson's Class of 2011.

Junior Watts Dantzler considering offers from top programs

Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List offensive lineman Watts Dantzler (Dalton, Ga.) spoke with ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com about his current offers.

"I think it's like fifteen or sixteen offers now, somewhere in that area," Dantzler said. "I can't remember all of them but some of the big ones are Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami, Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina, N.C. State, Tennessee, and South Carolina."

"Right now it's pretty wide open, I want to visit as many places as I can so colleges have a fair chance of recruiting me. This time next year or maybe in November around my birthday, I'll break it down and commit then."

Additionally, Watts' father played for the in-state Georgia Bulldogs.

Cyclones snare three-star running back in Shontrelle Johnson

Head coach Paul Rhoads of Iowa State has received a Class of 2010 commitment from three-star running back Shontrelle Johnson of DeLand, Fla.

However, he told the Orlando Sentinel, "I'm committed but I'm still waiting for stuff to happen. When I went up there I liked it a lot and I'm committedm but I don't know if it's 100 percent. If Florida State offers, I'm taking it."

Johnson originally pledged to Northwestern, but decommitted in December. Among his other offers were Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Florida and Memphis.

He rushed for 1,606 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound prospect transferred to DeLand after his junior season in which he rushed for 1,373 yards and 16 scores for Crescent City, Fla.

Johnson is the 25th pledge for the Cyclones.
