Two official visits down, one to go, for Adrian Hubbard

Under Armour All-American defensive end Adrian Hubbard (Norcross, Ga.) caught up with ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com about his official visit to Florida State for the Seminoles' win over Maryland.

"It was good," Hubbard said. "I really enjoyed it. I liked hanging out with the players and the coaches. The thing that really stood out about Florida State was the way I fit in with the people there. I also liked how they treated me on the visit and I just had a good time."

He previously announced a final three of Florida State, South Carolina and Alabama. Hubbard already made an official visit to South Carolina and will check out the Crimson Tide in the near future.

"I still plan on announcing at the Under Armour All-American game," Hubbard added. "All three schools are still even. I will decide a leader after the Alabama visit. I then have in-home visits and go from there."

Seminoles, Gators to battle for premier junior DT Tim Jernigan

Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive tackle Tim Jernigan (Lake City, Fla./Columbia) is already being recruited by over 25 programs but two in-state powers stand out, ESPN affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com reports.

"Two schools that jump out to me right now are Florida and Florida State," he said. "At this point I'm trying to focus on my junior season and finish playoffs. After that I will look at recruiting again. I have somewhere between 25-30 offers, I'm not sure of them all because my coaches are helping me with that. I have visited FSU and Florida already this year. I was at Florida State when they hosted Miami."

The Seminoles hold an early lead for Jernigan, who is the cousin of former Florida State wide receiver Tamarick Vanover and linebacker Brian Allen.

Another Northwestern talent, Eli Rogers, loves The U

Junior ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect Eli Rogers (Miami/Northwestern) has a written offer from Central Florida and is receiving interest from Miami-FL, Florida State, Florida and Florida International, ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com reports.

To no one's surprise, he favors the hometown Hurricanes, "I love the University of Miami. I like their offense, but I would like for them to spread the ball around more just because I am a receiver and you can never give receivers the ball enough. I like their system though and I feel like I can play in that system."

Rogers has caught 32 passes for 503 yards and 10 touchdowns this fall.

"I should have a decision in early January," he said. "My top schools are Florida State, Temple, Iowa, South Carolina, and Miami. Florida State is my leader because I have liked them ever since I was young."

Tye also mentioned that he plans to make official visits to Florida State and Temple in December.

Jeff Luc's brother talks recruiting

Alex Luc, brother of five-star Under Armour All-American inside linebacker Jeff Luc (Port St. Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast) spoke with ESPN affiliate Web site NoleInsider.com about schools in the mix for Jeff.

"We have visited Tennessee, USC, and we just came back from Georgia. He really enjoyed all of them. He just visited Florida. This upcoming weekend he will be going to visit Florida State."

"He pretty much has enjoyed all the schools he has visited," Luc added. "There are some other schools that are still in it. LSU and I think Alabama are still in it."

"He is looking forward to enrolling early. He has some things to finish up. He has this online class that he needs to finish. That is the only obstacle in front of him right now."

Alex also said positional coach and defensive scheme will play a factor, "Yes, it definitely does. He has learned that you can be talented, but if the coaching isn't putting you in the right position then you won't do any good. He knows that you have to know and trust the system."

Tommy Shuler, WR

Miami, FL

Miami Springs Senior High School

Scouts Grade: 45

Productive junior receiver Tommy Shuler holding one offer

Class of 2011 prospect Tommy Shuler (Miami/Springs) told ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com, "I have one offer from FIU and a verbal from Florida State. A lot of other schools are talking to me like Alabama, Kansas State, Florida, and more. Those schools were talking to me before the season so they don't even know I got a big year yet. Now the season is over so I should hear from more schools and get some more offers."

He caught 73 passes for 1,216 yards (16.7 average) and 16 touchdowns this season. He also rushed for 151 yards and four more scores. As a junior, Shuler hauled in 40 passes for 543 yards (13.6 average) and two touchdowns.

Davis Dudchock, TE

Birmingham, AL

Oak Mountain High School

Scouts Grade: 79

Position Rank: 11

Four-star tight end Davis Dudchock drops Commodores for Stanford

Touted tight end Davis Dudchock of Oak Mountain Birmingham (Ala.) has pledged to the Cardinal after decommitting from Vanderbilt.

Rated No. 11 among the nation's tight end prospects in the Class of 2010, he was also offered by Auburn, Tennessee, Florida State, Wake Forest, Louisiana Tech, Navy, Southern Mississippi, Troy and UAB.

ESPN's Craig Haubert commented on Dudchock's switch, "Stanford is the talk of college football right now and off the heels of impressive wins over USC and Oregon, the Cardinal have landed a pretty good recruit."

"It was not that long ago that Stanford lost tight end prospect Blake Barker (Wellesley, Ma./BB&N) to Harvard, but now the Cardinal have replaced him with one of the better sleeper tight ends in this class who was committed to Vanderbilt. The academic schools are poaching from each other and it seems Stanford may have won this give and take."

"The Alabama native is a player with the tools to be a good well rounded college tight end. He has solid height, but needs to add bulk. He is a good receiver with good hands and competes for the ball and will make some tough catches. He is not a burner, but has good speed and runs good routes. He will make his biggest initial impact as a receiver for Stanford, but the kid has a physical nature and a good motor and with some work on his technique could also be a productive blocker."

"The Cardinal has recruited well at tight end so the loss of Barker was not that devastating, but for any Stanford fans who were stressed by the loss can now breathe easy as Dudchock is a fine replacement / addition and arguably even a slight up-grade."

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Dudchock had 33 receptions for 504 yards and four touchdowns during his junior season. His father, Alex, played at Auburn.

Dudchock is the 24th commitment for Stanford.

Loyola tight end John Young is set for the hometown Bruins

Head coach Rick Neuheisel and his staff at UCLA have received a pledge from 250-pound tight end John Young of Loyola (Los Angeles, Calif.) for the Class of 2010.

The 6-foot-3 prospect was also offered by Arizona, Arizona State, Florida State and UNLV.

"It seemed like the right fit," Young told the Los Angeles Times. "They have a good base for a team and a great coach. I've seen their set offense, and they use the tight end a lot."

Young is the 14th commitment for the Bruins.

Karlos Williams, ATH

Davenport, FL

Ridge Community High School

Scouts Grade: ESPNU 150 Watch List

Five programs stand out for junior Karlos Williams

Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List outside linebacker / safety Karlos Williams (Davenport, Fla./Ridge), younger brother of Florida State linebacker Vince Williams, revealed some of his early favorites for ESPN affiliate Web site DuckTerritory.com.

"I am very familiar with (Florida State). I know most of the coaches really well. I'm very close to a lot of them. Coach Amato, Jimbo, Coley, Dawsey, they are all like uncles to me. They all usually fight over me at camps about practicing with their group and stuff. Plus with my brother there he gives me the inside scoop, so I always know what's really going on. FSU is like a second home to me."

He continued, "Alabama is playing very strong football right now. They program is outstanding, they don't just offer anybody who plays football. "

"Tennessee, I love watching Eric Berry. He is a very high caliber player, he makes so many big plays and hits at free safety. The way he came up and hit Tebow was awesome. He loves to go strong. Tennessee laid the blueprint on how to beat Florida with tough defense."

"Georgia, I talk to coach McClendon there very often, we talked for like two hours the other day. He's one of my favorite coaches to talk to."

"Georgia Tech is recruiting me hard. I love the offense and defense there. I really love coach Nesbitt up there."

Other programs including Miami-FL, Ohio State, Michigan and Cal have also offered.

Shannon Brown, ILB

Adel, GA

Cook High School

Scouts Grade: ESPNU 150 Watch List

Shannon Brown holding big early offers

Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List linebacker Shannon Brown (Adel, Ga./Cook) spoke with ESPN affiliate Web site DuckTerritory.com about the early stages of his recruitment.

"ECU, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Florida State have all extended me early offers. Right now I would have to say that Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia are my early top three, and Alabama is my top school right now."

"Everybody is mostly looking at me for inside linebacker, but I can also play running back. Tennessee, Georgia Tech., and Florida State all are considering me as a possible running back as well."

Brown continued, "I think I want to take my time with this decision. I will probably take all five visits. But at the same time if I find where I want to go early I would commit."
