Under Armour All-American safety Dietrich Riley (La Canada, Calif./St. Francis) picked the Bruins live on ESPNU.

USC, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Florida and LSU were among Riley's other suitors.

"We have a great recruiting class and I can't wait to start playing with these guys. I have big goals for myself and our team. I want to make freshman All-American and I want UCLA to win the Pac 10 and compete for National Championships. Mostly though, I just want to win, I want to win a lot of games and I'm so relieved to get this decision out of the way and put all the stress behind me," he said.

Junior Antwaun Woods makes early commitment to USC

Under Armour All-American defensive tackle Antwaun Woods (Woodland Hills, Calif./Taft) has pledged to sign as part of USC's Class of 2011, ESPN's Greg Biggins reports. He fielded several early offers including UCLA and Florida.

"I knew where I was going," he said. "I was always going to USC the minute they offered me. I already told them I was coming too but my original plan was to wait until the Under Armour Game and do it then. Knowing me, I would have gotten tired of all the calls so I made my announcement at the school this morning and I'm officially a Trojan."

In a shocker, Josh Shirley picks the UCLA Bruins

Four-star outside linebacker Josh Shirley (Fontana, Calif./Kaiser) announced that he'll commit to UCLA, ESPN's Greg Biggins reports.

Shirley, who never visited the Bruins, named USC, Washington, Miami-FL and Arizona as his finalists going into Wednesday.

"This is where my heart always was," Shirley said. "This decision really weighed on me and I didn't get much sleep last night. I talked about it with my family and I just felt like UCLA was the best place for me."

Marquis Jackson switches from UCLA to USC

College of the Canyons (Santa Clarita, Calif.) defensive end Marquis Jackson is no longer on board with the Bruins and is expected to sign with USC Thursday, ESPN affiliate Web site WeAreSC.com reports. His brother, Malik, plays for the Trojans.

"To be honest, I'm going to USC," he said. "I want to play with my brother. I called the USC coaches and said I was going there and they told me they would get me the paperwork."

Rated as a three-star defensive back prospect, Anthony Jefferson of Cathedral (Los Angeles, Calif.) has signed with UCLA for the Class of 2010. Jefferson (6-foot-2, 180-pounds) picked the Bruins over Arizona, Oregon and California.

"I'm really excited to be a Bruin," Jefferson told ESPN's Greg Biggins. "I really think they have what it takes to turn the program around and I'm looking forward to being a part of that. UCLA is close to home and it means a lot to me that my friends and family will be able to come and watch me play."

He was also offered by Arizona State, Oklahoma, San Diego State, Tennessee, Southern California and Washington.

Safety Earnest Thomas of St. Mary's (Orchard Lake, Mich.), who recently decommitted from UCLA, has decided to sign with the Illini for the Class of 2010.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect also drew offers from Indiana, Purdue, Louisville, Minnesota, Missouri, Penn State, Wisconsin, Stanford and Vanderbilt.

Rated as a three-star prospect, he chose the Bruins over Oregon State, Baylor and Hawaii. Washington, Colorado and Texas Tech had also offered.
