Heimuli had narrowed his choices down to Oregon, UCLA, Utah and Washington.

Running back Aaron Spikes of Pinkston (Dallas, Texas), has given a Class of 2010 commitment to Louisiana-Lafayette.

He recently decommitted from Texas Tech after head coach Leach's staff was let go and replaced by Tommy Tuberville's new group.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Spikes was also offered by TCU and Kansas State. He rushed for over 1300 yards as a senior after missing a game because of an injury.

The Utes have gained their second Class of 2011 pledge in Nate Fakahafua of Highland (Salt Lake City, Utah).

Fakahafua (6-foot-3, 190-pounds) was recruited as a receiver.

DE Jordan Robles is latest junior to pick Utah

Jordan Robles, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound defensive end from Salem Hills (Salem, Utah), has become the third Class of 2011 commitment for Utah.

He also drew early interest from BYU, Iowa State and UCLA.

Robles plans on taking a two-year church mission after his high school senior season.

Highly-recruited Zack Bolton switches from Illinois to Utes

Three-star offensive lineman Zack Bolton of Klein Forest (Houston, Texas), has changed his Class of 2010 pledge from the Illini to Utah.

A 6-foot-2, 260-pound prospect, who originally committed to Kansas in August, is recovering from a season-ending torn ACL in December. He was also offered by Nebraska, Arizona, Missouri, Wake Forest, Minnesota, SMU, Rice, Baylor, Houston, Iowa State, North Texas and New Mexico State.

"I visited last weekend and really liked the location and players and attitude there," he told the Salt Lake Tribune. "It came down to the football programs, and Utah is doing a better job than Illinois at this moment."

Bolton joins prep teammate, Damian Payne, as prospects for Utah.

Ofa Latu commits to play for the Utes

Timpview (Provo, Utah) linebacker Ofa Latu has accepted a scholarship offer from Utah for the Class of 2010.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Latu helped lead Timpview to its last two state championships, finishing with 80 tackles and five interceptions his senior season.

Latu plans on enrolling at Utah this summer before leaving on an LDS Church Mission in the fall.

Defensive end Kalafitoni Pole gives pledge to Washington State

6-foot-2, 250-pound Kalafitoni Pole of James Logan HS (Union City, Calif.) has accepted a scholarship offer from the Pac-10 Cougars for the Class of 2010.

He also drew offers from Utah and Wyoming.

Utes pick early commitment from Isaac Asiata

Utah has gained a Class of 2011 commitment from lineman Isaac Asiata of Spanish Fork, Utah. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound prospect was recruited as an offensive lineman. His cousin, Matt Asiata, is a running back at Utah.

"I really don't want to leave the state and I didn't want to go to BYU because they kept me in the dark too much," he told the Salt Lake Tribune. "It didn't seem they were interested in me, so it came down to Utah and Utah State, and I've always wanted to play at Utah."
