Steven Ford, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound defensive back from Charleston, S.C./Fort Scott CC, Kan., has given a Class of 2010 pledge to North Texas.

Ford was credited with three interceptions during the 2009 season.

North Texas claims huge lineman Antonio Johnson of Diboll

6-foot-6, 275-pound Antonio Johnson, an offensive tackle prospect from Diboll, Texas, has decommitted from Louisiana-Monroe and chosen the Mean Green for the Class of 2010.

He was also recruited by UTEP.

Johnson told the Denton Record-Chronicle, "I have family in the area, which is part of the reason I committed. If I need them, they are right there. North Texas is also a place where I can get a good education."

Louisiana-Lafayette strikes into Texas for receiver Josey Nwankwo

6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver Josey Nwankwo of Horn (Mesquite, Texas) has accepted a Class of 2010 offer from the Cajuns.

He was also recruited by TCU, Baylor, Houston and North Texas.

Nwanko ran an electronically-timed 5.2 40-yard dash, 4.6 20-yard shuttle and 30.1-inch vertical at the Dallas Nike Combine.

The Miners have snared a Class of 2010 commitment from Javia Hall, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound quarterback from Skyline (Dallas, Texas).

Hall changed his pledge from North Texas. He also considered New Mexico and Wyoming.

Louisiana-Lafayette has added a pledge from defensive lineman Chris Tucker, a 6-foot-2, 260-pound prospect from West Bolivar, Miss./Coahoma CC, Miss., for the Class of 2010.

North Texas has also made an offer.

6-foot-5 wide receiver Jordan Taylor is headed to Rice

The Owls have a Class of 2010 commitment from wideout Jordan Taylor of Denison, Texas.

Taylor also considered Northwestern, North Texas and Utah.

He played receiver as a sophomore (29 receptions for 575 yards and 11 touchdowns) before moving to quarterback for the next two seasons. As a senior, Taylor passed for 2450 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1358 yards and 23 scores.
