2011 lineman Brendon Austin has Arizona, Notre Dame in the mix

Junior offensive tackle Brendon Austin (Parker, Colo./Chaparral) has received a written scholarship offer from Arizona and verbal offer from Notre Dame.

The 6-foot-6 prospect was already holding offers from Colorado, Stanford, Kansas State and Colorado State.

Several other programs including Arkansas, Kansas and California are expressing strong interest.

Austin was named to the All-Colorado First Team Class 5A All-State team as a junior.

First offer on the table for junior lineman Dylan Admire

Class of 2011 offensive lineman Dylan Admire (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley West) made an unofficial visit to Nebraska and received a scholarship offer.

He has junior days lined up for the next three weekends to Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound prospect earned First Team Class 6A All-State honors as a junior.

The Tigers have picked up a Class of 2011 commitment from 5-foot-11, 175-pound Anthony Pierson of Gateway (St. Louis, Mo.).

Pierson who rushed for 1300 yards as a junior, is being considered for running back, cornerback or receiver. He has also received an early offer from Kansas State.

The Wildcats have a Class of 2011 pledge from Olukayode Akinmoladun, a 6-foot-2, 320-pound defensive lineman from Independence CC, Kan.

He is originally from Grandview, Mo.

Marcus Kennard to resign with the Big 12 Wildcats

Wide Receiver Marcus Kennard of Lawton, Okla./Butler CC, Kan., has committed to Kansas State for the Class of 2011.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound prospect had 23 receptions for 444 yards and four touchdowns for Butler during the 2009 season. He originally picked Kansas State as a high school senior.

JUCO signal-caller Angelo Pease still set for Kansas State

Angelo Pease, a 5-foot-11, 215-pound quarterback from Hutchinson CC, Kan., has chosen Kansas State for the Class of 2011.

Originally from Cairo, Ga., Pease passed for 1,101 yards and nine touchdowns during the 2009 season at Hutchinson. He had committed to Kansas State as a prep.

Kansas State has a Class of 2011 commitment from 6-foot-3, 230-pound defensive end Meshak Williams of Worth County (Sylvester, Ga.)/Hutchinson CC, Kan.

Williams had 10.5 sacks during the 2009 season for Hutchinson.

James Cunningham to sign with K State before heading to JC

A highly-productive receiver, James Cunningham of Clear Springs (League City, Texas) has accepted a Class of 2010 offer from Kansas State.

The 6-foot-0, 175-pound prospect will be signed by the Wildcats, but attend Blinn CC, Texas, for two seasons. He was also offered by Houston and UTEP.

Cunningham had 74 receptions for 1,039 yards and 13 touchdowns during his senior season. He also scored on three kick returns.

Vols pluck junior college tight end Mychal Rivera

Tight end Mychal Rivera (Santa Clarita, Calif./College of the Canyons) has committed to Tennessee, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.

The 6-foot-4 240-pounder picked the Vols over Kansas State. He made his decision Wednesday night during a meeting with Vols assistants at his home.

South Carolina, Syracuse and Utah State also extended scholarship offers

He caught 35 passes for 330 yards and three touchdowns this fall.

Rivera signed with Oregon out of Birmingham High in Van Nuys, Calif. before spending this season at the College of the Canyons.

Big 12 Wildcats add in-state senior Deveon Dinwiddie

Running back Deveon Dinwiddie (Hutchinson, Kan.) has committed to sign with Kansas State's, ESPN affiliate Web site TheShiver.com reports.

He was a Class 5A All-State selection as a returner this fall while also rushing for 1,400 yards.

The Wildcats now have 18 commitments for their Class of 2010.
