The Orangemen have landed a Class of 2010 pledge from 6-foot-4, 260-pound Micah Robinson of John Adams (Cleveland, Ohio).

Robinson was also sought by Cincinnati, Kansas, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Akron, Bowling Green, Toledo and Western Michigan.

Impressive early offers on the table for Michael Caputo

Junior running back / linebacker Michael Caputo (Imperial, Pa./West Allegheny) is now holding multiple scholarship offers, ESPN affiliate Web site NittanyNetwork.com reports.

Penn State and Ohio State offered this week. Pittsburgh, North Carolina State, Purdue and Syracuse have also extended scholarships.

Caputo, who previously attended Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, Pa.), rushed for 2,526 yards (7.5 average) and 34 touchdowns while also making 62 solo tackles last fall.

Nittany Lions add athlete Shyquawn Pullium to commitment list

Recruited as a cornerback, Shyquawn Pullium of Cathedral Prep (Erie, Pa.) has accepted a scholarship offer from Penn State for the Class of 2010.

Pittsburgh, Toledo, Maryland, Cincinnati and Miami-Ohio also extended scholarship offers.

"It's a great school academically," he texted to ESPN affiliate Web site NittanyNetwork.com. "And the people there are great. I think it's just the best place for me."

As a senior, he completed 50 of 99 pass attempts (50.1-percent) for 1,062 yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for 1,284 yards (10.9 average) and 18 more scores.

Three hard after junior Kevin Reihner

Class of 2011 offensive lineman Kevin Reihner (Scranton, Pa./Prep) is being heavily pursued by three programs, ESPN affiliate Web site NittanyNetwork.com reports.

Pittsburgh, North Carolina State and Penn State are showing Reihner the most attention. The Panthers and Wolfpack have already offered.

Reihner has made education his No. 1 priority. He also believes he'll ultimately pick a school that's relatively close to home.

Other schools including Michigan, Rutgers, Syracuse and Connecticut are also recruiting Reihner.

McKeesport defensive back Ty-Meer Brown set for Connecticut

The Huskies have gained a commitment from Ty-Meer Brown of McKeesport, Pa., for the Class of 2010.

Projected as a safety, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound Brown was also offered by Bowling Green, Akron, Kent State, Pittsburgh and Toledo.

"I went up there and my mom basically committed for me on the way back," Brown told the Daily News. "I liked it up there. The coaching staff was cool and the facilities were real nice."

He is the 20th incoming player for the Huskies.

Sherard Cadogan announces for the Wisconsin Badgers

Three-star prospect Sherard Cadogan of Camden Catholic (Cherry Hill, N.J.) has given a Class of 2010 commitment to the Badgers of the Big Ten.

Recruited as a tight end/H-back, he chose Wisconsin over Michigan State, West Virginia and Pittsburgh. Among his other 30 scholarship offers were South Carolina, Penn State, Stanford, Maryland, Iowa, Minnesota, UConn, Syracuse and Vanderbilt.

"It was a tough decision," Cadogan told the Courier-Post. "I talked it over with my family and we decided it was the best fit for me. It has a great engineering program and the coaches are great. And outside of football, there was the question if it was a place I would still like. Madison is a great city and I love the campus."

The 6-foot-2, 222-pound Cadogan joins his prep teammate quarterback, Joseph Brennan, as pledges for the Badgers.

Wisconsin now has 22 commitments.

Pittsburgh wins fight for three-star safety Brandon Ifill

Three-star safety/wide receiver Brandon Ifill of Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, Pa.) has committed to the Big East Panthers over Michigan, Maryland, West Virginia and Rutgers.

The 6-foot-0, 175-pound Ifill was also offered by UConn, Purdue and Syracuse.

He told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, "Pitt really came on with me this fall. I started talking to their coaches a lot more and the more I talked to them, the more I got comfortable. They're just so well-rounded in everything they have. Their academics and academic support are great, just as well as the coaching."

Colerain's Tyler Williams likes the Mountaineers

5-foot-6, 140-pound running back Tyler Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) currently favors West Virginia, ESPN affiliate Web site EerSports.com reports.

"I'm looking at a couple schools. I like West Virginia a lot though," Williams said. "I want to go there. They've been looking at me."

While he does not have any offers at the moment, programs including Michigan, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Cincinnati, Indiana, UCLA, South Carolina, Iowa, Purdue, Kansas, Wisconsin and Nebraska have showed interest.

He rushed for nearly 900 yards and 12 touchdowns during his junior campaign.

At the Cincinnati Nike Combine he posted an electronically-timed 4.69 40-yard dash, 4.13 20-yard shuttle and 33.4-inch vertical.

Three-star offensive lineman Shane Johnson of DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) has committed to Pittsburgh.

The 6-foot-4, 305-pound Johnson picked the Panthers over offers from California, Rutgers, Virginia, Wake Forest, Boston College, Duke, Maryland, New Mexico, South Carolina, Stanford, Syracuse and Vanderbilt, among others.

Pittsburgh has 23 commitments for the Class of 2010.

A 5-foot-10, 180-pound cornerback, Saheed Imoru of Alief Hastings (Houston, Texas)/Navarro CC, Texas, has committed to the Panthers.

Iowa State, New Mexico and North Texas have also made offers.

He is the 22nd pledge for Pittsburgh's Class of 2010.
