Five-star wide receiver Darius White (Fort Worth, Texas/Dunbar), considered an Oklahoma lean for some time, recently made news by announcing plans for an official visit to Texas. ESPN affiliate OUInsider.com caught up with the nation's top pass-catcher.

"Oklahoma is still in my top and they are a good school," said White, who will visit Texas this upcoming weekend followed by a trip to Norman next weekend. "They are a really good school that I am looking at."

"The Longhorns are a good school, and they are still one of my top schools. I am still looking at Texas and OU. I am just trying to straighten everything out."

White also shared his key factors, "I want to go somewhere that I can fit in at and where I can feel comfortable. I want to go somewhere that I know the coaches are going to be there for me, and I can trust them."

He concluded by saying, "I probably won't make my decision until after signing day."

Roszell Gayden, OT

New Hope, MN

College of Sequoias (CA)

Top three in place for JUCO Roszell Gayden

College of the Sequoias offensive tackle Roszell Gayden has a top three of Auburn, California and Oklahoma, ESPN affiliate Web site AuburnUndercover.com reports.

"I am looking for somewhere I can play early, play against good competition and get a good education," he said.

Gayden took an official visit to Oklahoma in October, will visit Cal and Oregon in December and will check out the Tigers for the Iron Bowl. "I had visits set up for December, but I had nothing for November and they asked me to come on the 27th, so I say OK. They told me it should be a great game to come for. They said it is one of the biggest rivalries in the country."

He originally signed with Minnesota's Class of 2008 out of Robbinsdale Cooper (New Hope, Minn.).

Austin Haywood, TE

Moore, OK

Southmoore High School

Scouts Grade: 82
ESPN150 Rank: 46
Position Rank: 3

Future Sooner tight end Austin Haywood enters ESPNU 150

Austin Haywood (Moore, Okla./Southmoore) was recently evaluated by the Scouts, Inc. staff and is now rated as the nation's No. 46 prospect and third ranked tight end.

ESPN's Craig Haubert said of the news, "The month of November has now seen its second prospect impressively leap into the ESPNU 150. First defensive end Adrian Hubbard (Norcross, Ga.) impressed with senior year film and made the big splash and now tight end Austin Haywood has done the same."

"With a recent evaluation as an offensive prospect, Haywood has proved to be worthy of a 150 ranking and is a great sleeper pick-up for Oklahoma. He is a big kid who possesses good speed and can be a serious match-up problem in the passing attack. With the Jermaine Gresham era over, a player like Haywood could be just what is needed to try and replace the very talented Sooner."

"While national signing day is getting ever closer Hubbard and Haywood prove it is never too late to discover talent and that is why the evaluation process continues."

Victor Burnett, ILB

Culver City, CA

Culver City High School

Scouts Grade: 77

Position Rank: 20

Cali three-star linebacker Victor Burnett pledges to Washington

The Pac-10 Huskies have gained a commitment from Victor Burnett, a three-star 5-foot-11, 220-pound linebacker from Culver Senior (Culver City, Calif.), for the Class of 2010.

Burnett chose Washington over Arizona, Nebraska, Oklahoma, West Virginia and Oregon State. He is also holding scholarship offers from Arizona State, California, Washington State, Tennessee, San Diego State, San Jose State and UNLV.

He told ESPN's Greg Biggins, "I just bonded the best with the coaching staff there and that was a big deal for me. They're such an intense staff and that stood out to me. I've seen a lot of improvement and progression this year with the team and I think the coaches will be able to get the most out of me as a player and person."

During his junior season, Burnett was credited with 182 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Washington now has 23 pledges.

John Cullen, OT

Fullerton, CA

Fullerton College (CA)

Vols lead for JUCO lineman John Cullen after visit

Fullerton College (Calif.) offensive lineman John Cullen updated ESPN affiliate Web site OUInsider.com on the current status of his recruitment.

"Right now my No. 1 school is Tennessee," he said. "It is the first school that I have visited. I have taken unofficial visits to UCLA and San Diego State, but Tennessee was my first official and I really enjoyed it. I have never seen SEC Football before in person, and I have never seen a stadium like that."

Cullen, who is holding 14-15 total scholarship offers, also lists Auburn, Oklahoma, Miami-FL, Kansas State and Utah as his other top schools.

"The main thing is do I have a chance to play at that school? And I am looking to get out of California, so distance is not a factor at all. And I want to play in a pro style offense. That is the type of offense that I have played in since high school, and the type of offense that we run at Fullerton," added Cullen.

I know I have to improve my blocking and learn to stay on my blocks more, and that is my main weakness right now. But I like to run the ball now and then, too. So I am looking for a school that does both well."

This fall, he's caught 43 passes for 627 yards and 10 touchdowns while also rushing for another score.
