SMU has landed Anthony Beard, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound outside linebacker from Lumberton, Texas, for the Class of 2010.

Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Wyoming and Colorado State had also offered the three-star prospect.

Interest picking up for Jordan Prestwood

ESPNU 150 Watch List tight end Jordan Prestwood (Tampa, Fla./Plant City) is holding two scholarship offers, from South Florida and Florida International, and heavy BCS interest, ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com reports.

Programs including Notre Dame, Florida, Miami, Florida State, Georgia, Auburn, Wake Forest, South Carolina and Missouri are also recruiting the 6-foot-6, 238-pound talent.

"Me and my parents have talked about it a few times," Prestwood, who could also play tackle in college, said of what he's looking for in a school. "Definitely me feeling comfortable being there, and the academics. Those are probably the biggest two things for me."

Prestwood has caught 22 passes and three touchdowns this season and mentioned that Notre Dame is a school that currently stands out.

At the Atlanta Under Armour Combine he registered a 5.25 40-yard dash, 4.87 20-yard shuttle, 8.23 three-cone drill and 23.5-inch vertical.

Coveted Florida defender Darvin Ruise is headed to Missouri

The Tigers have picked up their 16th commitment for the Class of 2010 in athlete Darvin Ruise of Baker County (Glen St. Mary, Fla.).

Recruited for safety/linebacker, he holds over 20 offers including Georgia Tech, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee and East Carolina.

He posted a 4.57 40-yard dash, 4.25 20-yard shuttle, 7.15 three-cone drill, 33.5-inch vertical and 9-foot-2 broad jump.

Highly-recruited DE Kony Ealy is headed to the Big 12 Tigers

6-foot-4, 230-pound defensive end Kony Ealy of New Madrid County School (New Madrid, Mo.), has accepted a Class of 2010 offer from Missouri.

Ealy also has offers from Arkansas, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Mississippi, Nebraska, Memphis and Arkansas State.

"He's done. He's finished," Ealy's coach, Pixley told the Columbia Daily Tribune. "I've been on the horn talking to coaches, telling them, 'Thanks but no thanks.'"

The Tigers have 15 pledges.

OL Jacob Jenkins drops Missouri for Oklahoma State

Offensive center prospect Jacob Jenkins, who recently decommitted from Missouri, has given a Class of 2010 pledge to the Cowboys.

From Gilmer, Texas, the 6-foot-3, 260-pound Jenkins was also offered by TCU and Houston.

He is the 24th commitment for Oklahoma State.

Huskers reel in talented Louisiana receiver Curtis Carter

Curtis Carter, a 5-foot-10, 160-pound wideout from North DeSoto (Stonewall, La.), has picked Nebraska for the Class of 2010.

He was also offered scholarships by Alabama, Mississippi State, Missouri, TCU and Louisiana Tech.

As a junior, Carter ran for 262 yards and seven scores, and gained another 708 yards and 10 touchdowns on receptions.

The Huskers now have 10 commitments.

Highly-recruited JUCO defender Glen Stanley set for UCF

6-foot-2, 240-pound linebacker/defensive end Glen Stanley of Eastern Arizona CC, Ariz., has given a Class of 2010 pledge to Central Florida.

Originally from Vanguard (Ocala, Fla.), he played as a true freshman at Bowling Green.

Among others, Stanley holds other offers from Tennessee, Arizona State, South Florida, Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and San Diego State.

The Knights now have 17 commitments.

Three-star offensive tackle Daryl Williams of Lake Dallas (Corinth, Texas) has committed to the Sooners for the Class of 2010.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Williams also considered Missouri.

He drew other offers from Auburn, Baylor, Kansas, Miami-Florida, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, TCU and Texas Tech.

Oklahoma now has 24 pledges.

Two offers on the table for Christian Suntrup

Class of 2011 quarterback Christian Suntrup (St. Louis, Mo./Chaminade College Prep) is currently holding written scholarship offers from Nebraska and Stanford, ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com reports.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect is also hearing from schools such as Notre Dame, Missouri, Northwestern, Iowa, Oregon, Iowa State, Michigan, Kansas and Duke.

He also discussed what he's seeking, "I'm looking for a good environment, an environment I can feel comfortable and relate to. I'm also kind of a believer in getting a good education. That's key, and basically a program that can fit me in all aspects."

Suntrup threw for 1,400 yards and nine touchdowns during his sophomore campaign.

St. Louis athlete Marquise Hill will play for the Gophers

Marquise Hill of Trinity Catholic (St. Louis, Mo.), who recently withdrew his Class of 2010 commitment to Missouri, has decided for Minnesota

The running back / receiver also considered Arkansas and Iowa. He holds other offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan State, Nebraska, Wisconsin and UCLA.

"The thing that stood out the most was Coach Brew," Hill told the St. Louis Dispatch, "I know Coach (Gary) Pinkel is a good coach. I know Coach (Arkansas' Bobby) Petrino is a good coach. The way that coach Brew recruited me. I talked to him more than any other head coach. He was more consistent than any other coach."

Hill rushed for 820 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior, and also had 27 receptions for 391 yards and four scores.

The Gophers now have 16 pledges.
