Niko Palazeti of Detroit Catholic Central (Northville, Mich.) has accepted a Class of 2010 offer from Michigan State. He is a 6-foot-2, 245-pound fullback.

"This is definitely an honor because I'm not the flashy player by any means," Palazeti told ESPN affiliate Web site SpartanTailgate.com. "I was given a scholarship on hard work and toughness."

Purdue has landed a 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive end for the Class of 2010 in Rashad Frazier of Middletown, Ohio.

Frazier picked the Boilermakers over Michigan State, Wisconsin and West Virginia. He also has offers from Bowling Green, Kent State and Miami-Ohio.

6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive lineman Alex Lewis of Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, Ariz.) has accepted a Class of 2010 offer to sign with Colorado.

Michigan State, Air Force and UNLV had also offered.

Lewis is expected to grayshirt his freshman season.

Wide receiver Darqueze Dennard (Jeffersonville, Ga./Twiggs County) committed to Michigan State Wednesday night, ESPN affiliate Web site SpartanTailgate.com reports.

"I felt good about the coaches and felt at home with the players and thought it was a good fit," Dennard said. "I'm very excited. They have great fans, great coaches, great players, and am glad to be a Spartan."

Middle Tennessee State and Utah State also offered the 5-foot-11, 165-pound senior.

Touted defensive lineman Bruce Gaston commits to the Boilers

Purdue has landed a huge commitment for its recruiting Class of 2010 in three-star prospect defensive tackle Bruce Gaston of St. Rita (Chicago, Ill.).

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound standout chose the Boilermakers over Michigan State, Notre Dame, Boston College, Wisconsin and Iowa.

"It was just a comfort level that I always seemed to have when I visited Purdue," Gaston told the Chicago Tribune. "I can see myself 40 years from now looking back and being glad I chose to go to Purdue."

He was also offered by Illinois, Arizona, Indiana, Penn State, Minnesota and Virginia, among many others.

Florida running back Tahj Kimble commits to Boston College

A three-star prospect, Tahj Kimble of Fernandina Beach, Fla., has pledged to Boston College for the Eagles' Class of 2010.

Kimble, a 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back, was also recruited by Michigan State, Cincinnati, Purdue, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa State, Buffalo, Middle Tennessee State, Tulane and Florida Atlantic.

He posted a 4.73 40-yard dash, 4.57 20-yard shuttle, 7.42 three-cone drill, 33.5-inch vertical and 9-foot-4 broad jump at the Jacksonville Under Armour Combine.

Fort Scott Community College (Kans.) defensive tackle Anthony White has committed to Michigan State over Nebraska, ESPN affiliate Web site SpartanTailgate.com reports.

He has three years of eligibility remaining. White is originally from Battle Creek, Mich. and a former high school teammate of current Spartans running back Larry Caper.

"I can't explain how great it feels," White said. "I think I will have a great future there."

Michigan State has added a Class of 2010 pledge from Justin Wilson, a 6-foot-0, 220-pound linebacker from Western (Davie, Fla.).

He chose the Spartans over Missouri, Purdue, South Florida, TCU, Toledo, Tulsa and West Virginia.

Wilson told ESPN affiliate Web site SpartanTailgate.com, "It was a great place to grow up and go to school, great college atmosphere, and they had everything I wanted. Out of all the schools I've been to, they had the most and they were the best, and being so close to signing day, I chose them."

Touted safety Corey Cooper of Proviso East (Maywood, Ill.), once a soft commitment to Illinois, has revised his Class of 2010 recruiting list.

He is now considering Arizona, Florida State, the Illini, Michigan State, Nebraska and Notre Dame.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Cooper also holds offers from Missouri, Boston College, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Northwestern, Stanford, Minnesota and Tennessee, among others.

Western Kentucky tops BCS competition for Ty Scott

Safety Ty Scott of Palmetto, Fla., has committed to Western Kentucky for the Class of 2010.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Scott chose the Hilltoppers over offers from Iowa State, Indiana, Louisville, Purdue and Michigan State.

Western Kentucky now has seven pledges.
