ESPNU 150 wide receiver Kadron Boone (Ocala, Fla./Trinity Catholic) has decommitted from Texas Tech and is now ready to sign with LSU, ESPN's Gerry Hamilton reports.

"I just had that feeling. Everybody that has been through the recruiting process that I know told me you will get that feeling at the school you are supposed to sign with. I got that feeling with LSU," he said.

Texas Tech has added a Class of 2010 commitment from Phillip Warren, a 5-foot-9, 180-pound defensive back from Southridge (Miami, Fla.).

Marshall, Southern Mississippi and Northern Illinois also offered.

The Red Raiders have added a pledge from defensive back/receiver LaVaughn Whigham of Southridge (Miami, Fla.) for the Class of 2010.

Whigham decommitted from Central Michigan.

Southern Mississippi, Louisville, Marshall and Northern Illinois had also offered the 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect.

Touted defensive back Tre'Vante Porter rejoins the Red Raiders

Three-star prospect Tre'Vante Porter of Carl Albert (Midwest City, Okla.) has committed to Texas Tech's Class of 2010 for a second time after reopening his recruitment following coach Mike Leach's firing.

He visited with new coach Tommy Tuberville and looked at both Oklahoma and Arizona before staying with his original decision.

Porter was also offered by Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville and Vanderbilt, among others.

Three-star running back Aaron Spikes pledges to the Cajuns

Running back Aaron Spikes of Pinkston (Dallas, Texas), has given a Class of 2010 commitment to Louisiana-Lafayette.

He recently decommitted from Texas Tech after head coach Leach's staff was let go and replaced by Tommy Tuberville's new group.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Spikes was also offered by TCU and Kansas State. He rushed for over 1300 yards as a senior after missing a game because of an injury.

Texas Tech has added a defensive lineman to its recruiting Class of 2010 in Mike Jones of Kempner (Sugar Land, Texas).

Jones (6-foot-3, 255-pounds) also considered Boise State and Louisiana-Lafayette.

Junior defensive tackle Quincy Russell (San Antonio, Texas/Sam Houston) is currently holding a scholarship offer from Baylor, ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTexas.com reports.

He has been invited to attend Texas Tech's junior day and the Red Raiders are expected to offer.

Other junior day invitations include Texas and Oklahoma State for the 6-foot-3, 280-pound prospect.

Oklahoma State tops Red Raiders for lineman Javius Townsend

Three-star Javius Townsend of Madison (Dallas, Texas) has accepted a Class of 2010 offer from the Cowboys after decommitting from Texas Tech. The 6-foot-2, 300-pound guard prospect also considered Kansas.

He told the Avalanche-Journal the coaching change impacted his decision, "I had a special relationship with every one of those coaches - coach (Matt) Moore, coach Mitchell and coach Leach. It wouldn't be the same as it would if they were all still there."

Among his other offers were Minnesota, Buffalo, Colorado State, Idaho, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico, New Mexico State, North Texas, San Diego State, SMU, Tulsa, UTEP and Western Kentucky.

Three-star wide receiver James Wright picks Louisiana State

James Wright, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver from Belle Chasse, La., has committed to head coach Les Miles and the LSU Tigers for the Class of 2010.

Texas Tech, Arkansas, Alabama, Nebraska, Tennessee and Stanford in the mix for Wright. The three-star prospect also had offers from Colorado, Minnesota, Northwestern, Central Florida, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Tulsa and Utah.

"I committed to LSU (Sunday) morning,'' Wright told nola.com. "I liked the academics, the football and I feel like I have a good relationship with the coaches. All of the players I talked to liked the school. Overall, it seemed like the best place for me.''

As a senior, Wright had 39 receptions for 732 yards and 10 touchdowns.
