Buffalo has gained a pledge from offensive lineman William Robinson of Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, Md.) over New Mexico.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound prospect is the fifth Class of 2010 commitment for the Bulls.

Wolfpack pickup Peach State defender Theodore Rich

North Carolina State has gained a pledge from defensive end Theodore Rich of Portal, Ga., for the Class of 2010.

Buffalo had also offered and interest was shown by Purdue. Rich transferred from Statesboro, Ga., to Portal for his senior season.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound prospect is the 17th commitment for the Wolfpack.

Green Wave gathers New England lineman Ian Wiggins

Tulane has received a commitment from Ian Wiggins, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive lineman from Cheshire Academy (Cheshire, Conn.) for the Class of 2010.

Wiggins also drews offers from Marshall and Buffalo.

The Green Wave now has 18 pledges.

MAC Bulls cast wide recruiting net to capture Okoye Houston

Defensive back Okoye Houston (Piedmont, S.C./Woodmont) had committed to Buffalo, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports. He also considered Vanderbilt.

Houston posted a 4.03 20-yard shuttle, 7.46 three-cone drill and 34-inch vertical at various stops along the combine circuit prior to his senior season.

Buffalo pulls running back James Potts out of Florida

Ball-carrier James Potts (Delray Beach, Fla./American Heritage) has committed to Buffalo over scholarship offers from programs such as Michigan State, Vanderbilt and Rutgers, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.

Potts, a three-star talent, visited Buffalo on the weekend of Oct. 9th and decided the Bulls were the team for him.

"It was a great atmosphere," Potts said. "I liked the players, the coaches and the offensive scheme."

Georgia wideout Devon Hughes to play for Buffalo

The Bulls have picked up their second Class of 2010 commitment in Devon Hughes, a 6-foot, 180-pound receiver from Sandy Creek (Tyrone, Ga.).

He joins Rudy Johnson, a quarterback from McDonogh (Owings Mills, Md.), as pledges for Buffalo.

Fort Lauderdale defensive back Nevin Lawson commits to Utah State

Nevin Lawson, a 5-foot-11, 160-pound cornerback from Piper (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), has chosen the Western Athletic Conference Aggies.

He was also being recruited by Western Michigan, Duke and Buffalo.

Utah State has nine Class of 2010 pledges.

Running back Reginald Pegram picks Purdue after official visit

Two-star ball-carrier Reginald Pegram (Dallas/Madison) has committed to sign as part of Purdue's Class of 2010, ESPN's Gerry Hamilton reports.

UTEP, North Texas and Buffalo have also offered the 5-foot-10, 210-pounder.

Pegram attended Purdue's huge upset win over Ohio State this weekend, "I really enjoyed myself. It was a crazy atmosphere. Purdue got the victory over Ohio State and the people went crazy."

This fall, he's carried 117 times for 915 yards (7.8 average) and 10 touchdowns.

Texas Tech snares offensive lineman Javius Townsend

Javius Townsend of Madison (Dallas, Texas) has accepted a Class of 2010 offer from the Red Raiders.

The 6-foot-2, 300-pound guard prospect also considered Minnesota and Buffalo. Among his other offers were Colorado State, Idaho, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico, New Mexico State, North Texas, San Diego State, SMU, Tulsa, UTEP and Western Kentucky.

Townsend is the 19th commitment for Texas Tech.

UConn adds Coral Springs linebacker Brandon Steg

The Huskies of the Big East have their 4th Class of 2010 commitment in Brandon Steg of Taravella (Coral Springs, Fla.).

He also drew offers from Buffalo and Western Michigan.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Steg had 115 tackles, six sacks and two interceptions during his junior season.
