Potts may lack ideal size buy it's hard to find a quicker back through the hole than this guy. Looks a bit smaller than his listed measurables but is well-defined, built low to the ground and utilizes his good base to his advantage. Great zone runner. Sees and hits the small cutback creases just as they open showing great vision, balance, body control and lateral foot-quickness. Very slippery to wrap up with his excellent jump-cut and stop-start skill through traffic. Cuts with very good balance, allowing him to keep his speed and slide through the small seams. Flashes good burst and quicks to daylight bouncing outside and has the speed to turn the corner. When he does square up, his downhill acceleration is impressive, allowing him to slice through closing defenders into the second level. Displays great acceleration and break away burst pulling away. Very elusive with his ability to change speeds and cut laterally without gearing down much in the openfield. Displays great vision. Shows polished hands and receiving skills out of the backfield and when employed in the slot, he shows the flexibility he could offer his future offensive coordinator if he lands in an open spread. Our may concern is his lack of size and in-line running strength, particularly for a back who excels on inside zone schemes. At times he will bounce off occasional arm-tackles with the great momentum he brings through the whole along with his tight, quick-twitched body. Lacks power and durability could be an issue. Toughness is not a problem; he shows he will close hard as a defensive back on perimeter run and pass support and lays some impressive hits for his size. Does have the footwork, make up speed and lose hips coveted as a cover corner, which he may get recruited at. Overall, he is a sleeper with his foot-quickness and speed. Has difference-maker qualities.
