No. 3 Virginia Tech at Maryland
1. Maryland TE Vernon Davis vs. Virginia Tech CB Jimmy Williams
It's not often that you see a cornerback follow a tight end around the field, but it's also not often that you see a 6-foot-3, 250-pound tight end with 4.4-speed and an average of 20.4 yards on 24 receptions through just six games. Williams has experience at cornerback and free safety, so this will not be a new experience for the senior playmaker. If Williams can use his rare combination of size, speed and instincts to keep QB Sam Hollenbach's favorite target under wraps one-on-one, it will give the Hokies a huge advantage that most other defensive units across the country could experience.
