Will the real Cavaliers please stand up?

The season is but a month old, and already the Atlantic Coast Conference looks like this: Virginia Tech in the Coastal Division and Florida State in the Atlantic.
So, really, what's left to play for? Why not get the Hokies and Seminoles on down to Jacksonville and tee it up in the first league championship game?
Because, for starters, some teams have barely gotten started. Virginia, for example, has played but one league game -- a 31-point victory over Duke that hardly passes as a true test for the Cavaliers.
