The honeymoon's over for new coach Dave Wannstedt, who should get his first victory Friday at Ohio.

Coming off a 42-21 loss to Notre Dame in a nationally televised game, the Panthers (0-1, 0-0) have some major issues, not the least of which is an inexperienced defensive line that offered little resistance against the Fighting Irish.

Wannstedt rotated nine players on the line, including four freshmen. In his many years as a defensive-oriented coach -- he was the defensive coordinator of the 1987 national champion Miami Hurricanes and the 1992 Super Bowl champion Dallas Cowboys -- Wannstedt grew used to seeing his players dominate the line of scrimmage, not the other way around.
