Coaching Temple football has aged Bobby Wallace noticeably.
When he arrived at Temple eight years ago with three Division II national titles at North Alabama already on his resume, Wallace was in his early 40s. He was full of energy and ideas. He was coaching in the big-time -- in the Big East, a league with a national title contender in Miami and a rising power in Virginia Tech.
Wallace will turn 51 in mid-September, but he frankly looks much older than that. That's what will happen when you're always missing something -- or in Temple's case, multiple puzzle pieces -- necessary to compete in a BCS conference like the Big East.
