After the firing of Ty Willingham and a subsequent search for Willingham's replacement that left the university with its fair share of egg on its face, Notre Dame thinks it has made a wise choice as its next football coach.
Actually, the school made a Weis choice.
New England Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, one of the NFL's most fertile minds, and the Irish agreed on a six-year, $12 million deal to make the 49-year-old alum Notre Dame's new coach.
